Doctor en Literaturas Hispánicas por UC Berkeley y Master en Escritura Creativa en UC Davis. Es autor de Al Norte (2012, Nicaragua, primera ed. publicado también en una edición bilingüe por la Editorial de la Universidad de Nevada en el 2022) Su poesía ha aparecido en Paterson Literary Review, Poetry Magazine, The Notre Dame Review, The Best American Poetry, Jung Journal Culture & Psyche y The Wandering Song, Central American Writing in the United States. León es ganador del Premio de Poesía Juana Goergen 2020.
